Ever since our trip to Vegas to see her cousins back in March, my daughter has been wanting to ride horses and live the cowgirl life. We took her and her brother and cousins to a ranch out there and she got her first real taste for horseback riding. Grinning from ear to ear while sitting high in the saddle, I thought she'd never want to leave!
I must admit, I've always been a sucker for the smell of hay, dust on some cowgirl boots, cowgirl hat, and life on the farm. I didn't grow up living that life... but deep down I have always been drawn to it. Something about the countryside I could definitely get used to.
Anyway, Sophia will have her first official horse riding lesson here in our hometown this coming Saturday. She's very excited. She has her cowgirl boots all picked out and ready to go!
