Aware....

I hate the feeling of not following through. I hate it, I hate it! I have tried so hard to follow through with my 52 week project and it just hasn't worked out quite as I had hoped. What it has done for me though, is made me consciencely aware of the need to be in my pictures more often. Especially with my kids! Although I have failed horribly with not posting each friday for 52 weeks like I had hoped, I am still aware of the importance of trying.....

Thank you Amy for taking this picture for me! I don't think it would've happened otherwise! LOL Lukas is ALMOST looking at the camera and Sophia is almost NOT fake smiling! LOL And lets not get into how I look in the picture. LOL

I absolutely love the changing of seasons. Each one offers so many photo opportunities. I've always been one to stop and take "mental" photographs throughout the course of a day when not with my camera. I see the light and it moves me, captivates me, speaks to me. I find new objects to gaze at and explore. The changing of the seasons allow me to step out into nature and absorb all of the wonderful things I might otherwise take for granted or overlook. There's nothing quite like getting back to simplicity.

This is my beautiful friend Amy and her equally beautiful daughter. They came to have a visit with us last week and I'm ever so grateful for it! It was wonderful to see them as always. Oh how I miss them already!

This picture is soothing to me. The softness of it. The sweetness... It's just very peaceful and calming to me.

The Couch Trip.....

HEY! Remember me? I'm the one that can't keep up on her blog lately! What the heck right? Sorry you guys! I've been getting a lot of emails trying to get the fire lit under my tush to update my blog! I've missed it soooo soo much! Thank you for the emails you guys! It's so nice to know there's an audience. LOL

Anyway.. these next couple images are just snap shots, but they make me laugh! Lately, my son has totally made me aware of the fact that he is full force into the terrible two's! He's been a sea of emotions lately. Angry to happy, happy to sad, sad to miserable, miserable to needy, needy to cuddly and back to angry again. WELL, the last week or so, Lukas has been wanting to just play with his cars and watch "Lightening McQueen" (Disney/Pixar Cars). He is in LOVE with that movie! So, the other day, I hook him up with a snack and his favorite movie couch and turn on Cars. He thanks me in his sweet little voice and I go back to doing some work around the house. About 15 minutes go by and my daughter comes in and tells me to come quickly and bring my camera!

I just assumed that he was still adjusting to the time change... and then the very next day...... A little snack, a little McQueen...... the couch.... and then
